Some Prophetic Perspectives Regarding Covid-19 & the Church

“When the whole situation kicked off nationally in the UK regarding COVID-19, I asked the Lord in my heart what this isolation will look like for me. The Lord showed me a picture of a Formula 1 race scene. In this race, a race car came into the pit stop. This car received brand new tires, a full fuel tank, and a clean visor for clear vision.

I believe that for me and many others, God wants to use this social isolation as an opportunity for us to receive new tires for the road ahead, a filled fuel tank for the journey, and clean clear vision for the future. 

The tires will help us to stay on the “narrow path of Life”. The fuel will be the fuel of “passion and intimacy with Jesus” similar to the wise virgins who collected “oil for the lamp” as found in the gospels. The clean visor on the helmet will be fresh vision to have, “eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart that understands” the wisdom and council of the Lord. God is going to grant us a renewed sense of "vision and clarity" for our future and what lies ahead of us. It is Gods heart that we have a spirit of revelation and insight, of understanding and vision. This clean and clear vision will greatly help us navigate the journey ahead. 

All this will be accomplished in this “Pit” stop. What is this pit stop? it is the shutting down of all activity across the globe. For the body of Christ this will be a tremendous window of opportunity to draw near to the Lord, re-build our families, and rest from all our works.  

A pit stop is but just a fraction of time in a formula 1 race. But much can be accomplished in those few seconds. In fact the driver has to do very little. The drivers job is to just “be still” and wait for the “go” sign. The Holy Spirit will minister to us as we rest, be still, and know that He is God. 

Let us run the race before us but let us use this time wisely to seek God afresh and receive from Him all He wants to do in us. Fresh tires, full fuel tank and clear vision so that when the light turns green we are ready to walk in greater, love, power and authority as servants of Christ and His ambassadors in the earth.

The second picture I had regarding Covid-19 was last night during communion. I was in a zoom (live stream app) home group meet up.In this prophetic picture I saw a group of Christians travelling up a ski lift towards the highest peak of a mountain. We couldn’t see the top and we didn’t know what the other side looked like. We were unaware exactly what would be before us at the top of this mountain. We were all “boxed in” speaking of the isolation and social restriction within this ski lift. And it was God who was taking us to the top of the mountain in His strength. 

 

Upon reaching the top, this group of believers stepped out the doors and looked over the edge. This group of Saints now beheld the most breathtaking, vast and beautiful valley! It was as if they were looking at the earth from the “mountain of the Lord”.

“Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart”

I believe God is going to show us the "magnitude of His glory and the splendor of His majesty" as we get closer to Him in isolation. From this secret place God is taking us "higher" in Him. And as we go higher in Him, we will see the earth from His heavenly perspective. A brand new sense of destiny and purpose will fill our hearts as we behold the splendor of what God has in store for us.

Home church live stream event on YouTube 29/3/20

During a live stream worship event this morning I had a vision. I saw a submarine underwater. Inside the submarine were special forces soldiers. These soldiers were to be “deployed” from the “torpedo shoot” under cover and under water hidden from enemy eyes. 

I felt that this prophetic picture had something to do with the social isolation, seclusion and distancing that many are experiencing around the world as a result of Covid-19. 

These soldiers would “emerge” from isolation and go into new territory and a new adventure with God. These soldiers had a purpose from the Master and would be deployed for a special assignment. These soldiers would take the enemy by surprise!

God is going to use the "Secret place" (psalm 91) as a place a of "preparation" and as a "vehicle" for positioning saints for new assignments from Heaven.  You perhaps might feel boxed in and unsure of the “other side”. You might feel like you are in a submarine not knowing exactly where you are or where you are going. But God almighty has a plan and a purpose for you in this season. And you will emerge ready to be about the "mission of the great commission" and know in greater understanding your purpose, calling and anointing in the Lords army. 

See this time not as "uncertain times". For indeed these are certain times for God and His people. We are certain that God has a plan and a purpose. We are certain that He will use every bad situation for our good. We are certain that He is calling us to draw nearer to Him. We are certain that God has an agenda to prosper His people in times of trouble, crisis and turmoil. We are certain that though we might not know what lies outside the submarine, this vehicle is taking us to a predestined place of destiny and purpose in the Lord. This is an exciting time and opportunity, perhaps the greatest opportunity we will ever get, for us to seek Him, abide in Him, and draw closer to Him. God is a lover and He is looking for lovers. Lovers who worship in Spirit and Truth. True ministers minister before the Lord before they minister before the people. 

God is birthing ministry that will flow from ministering before His face just as it did with John the baptist. John learned to minister before the face of the Lord in the wilderness before he ever ministered to the multitudes. God is looking for lovers, for worshipers and for friends. Will you answer the call to be “still” and know Him?
