A Prophetic Blueprint for 2020

A Prophetic Blueprint for 2020

“The year of the Holy Spirit”

Introduction:

While away on holiday in September 2019 I sought the Lord for a prophetic word for 2020. The Lord then showed me 3 prophetic images that helped me to capture His heart for the upcoming new year.

I have decided to share in-depth what was shown to me and as a result, this word is quite lengthy. It is true that a picture can certainly speak a thousand words and I believe it is especially true in the Kingdom of God.

Prophecy is a light that shines in a dark place (2 Peter 1:19) and it helps to illuminate the way revealing the heart, mind, and will of the Father concerning a given situation or season. May this prophecy give us a glimpse of what is to come, what we can expect, and how we can even partner with the Lord in what He is doing in the earth.

It is my prayer that this word blesses you, strengthens you and causes you to have greater hope for the future! For our future is indeed bright and full of Light! What is this light? It is the Light of His glory and truth as manifested in Christ Jesus the Son. He indeed is the Way, the Truth and the Life and He gives Light to the whole world. It is in His Light that we see Light (Psalm 36:9). May the Lord open the eyes of our understanding and flood our hearts with revelatory light and truth that we may know the hope of His calling and the glory of His inheritance in the saints. (Eph 1:18)

The bible makes it clear that we “prophesy in part and we know in part” (1 Cor 13:9). It is my hope that I can share a glimpse of what the Lord is doing in 2020. I encourage you to seek the Lord for yourself and see what He might say to you for 2020.

The pictures I received are the direct revelation and what I write about them will be my interpretation and own insights. Some Of the interpretation shared I am confident in its accuracy, however other parts of my interpretation are more prophetic ‘senses’ and ‘feelings’ that I gained whilst I did some digging, praying and contemplating regarding this word. Let us test everything and weigh it according to scripture. May the Holy Spirit guide us into all truth and may Jesus be glorified.

The series of pictures the Lord showed me are as follows:

After I prayed, I first saw a picture of a ‘beautiful strong white Horse’, followed by a picture of a ‘white dove’ and lastly, the Lord gave me a picture of a ‘large white sail’. This white sail was towering over a sailing vessel filled with people. This vessel seemed to be traversing in a dark and gloomy environment.

I felt that all the pictures represented the ‘Holy Spirit’ and His role in the earth. ‘The horse’, ‘the dove’ and ‘the sail’ were all majestically white in color. In my spirit, I heard the words;
“The year of the Holy Spirit”. I got the strong sense that the Holy Spirit was going to take center stage again. 2020 will be the “year of the Holy Spirit”. And what a glorious year it will be!

1. The White Horse: The rise of the miracle workers - These shall trample underfoot the powers of the enemy and release the Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. (Luke 10:19)

"Have you given the horse strength? Have you clothed his neck with thunder? Can you frighten him like a locust? His majestic snorting strikes terror. He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength; he gallops into the clash of arms. He mocks at fear, and is not frightened; nor does he turn back from the sword" (Job 39:19-22).

I felt that the ‘White Horse’ represented the ‘POWER’ of the Holy Spirit. I was reminded of the white horse as depicted in the book of revelation and the above verse in Job 39 really struck me.

I feel that 2020 will be a year of ‘power’ that will culminate in an increase in signs, wonders, healings, and miracles! The Holy Spirit is going to show up and show off. I also believe that the level of power displayed by the Holy Spirit will be greater than what has been seen in years gone by. The Holy Spirit is coming in greater power. He is coming in might, majesty, power, and authority on a whole new level. None will be able to stop this beautiful, powerful and majestic “white horse”. He will display His power for all the world to see.

Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The Father has longed and looked for those who would dare to be “miracle workers”. These are not prideful and arrogant. Rather they are humble, gentle and meek souls who are full of the Love of God. These have the heart of a Lion and have dared to believe and step out in faith. Many of these miracle workers will be the housewife’s, the unknowns, those without fame, notoriety and leadership position.

These have sought the Lord in secret, prayed in secret and have stepped out in secret. Many of them secretly watch, read and follow those in the body of Christ who are gifted in Evangelism and healing. The Holy Spirit is coming to empower the hungry and the lowly to preach the Gospel of Jesus and then to demonstrate the reality of the Gospel by healing the sick, raising the dead and casting out demons.

Some of these hidden ones will be like Stephen in Acts chapter 6. They will go from the place of the unknown to serving widows, and then to be used by God to do outstanding miracles! Most of these miracles will likely be “outside” the four walls of the church. Though the Lord will also come in power to His church.

“And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people. - Acts 6:8”

Why is the “White Horse” on the move now? I believe it is because purity and refining have been a strong theme for 2019. Many have received healing and deliverance from issues, struggles, and strongholds. The Lord has come this year (2019) and set many a captive free. Also, there has been a resounding call to “purity and Holiness”. I once heard a preacher say, “purity precedes power” and I would like to add, “prayer precedes breakthrough”. These are both strong themes we see in the early church and the early church walked in a level of power and the miraculous that we have longed to see in our day. Purity and prayer amongst Gods people will release fresh grace to us from our Father. I am reminded when the early church gathered to pray for boldness.

Acts 4:29-31

29 And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, 30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

The Holy Spirit is Holy! Holy is His name. He is looking for those who have discarded the robes of self-seeking, envy, jealousy, pride, unbelief and un-forgiveness. The Holy Spirit has been refining the reformers, purifying the miracle workers and He has been maturing those who will display His power with pure hearts and unselfish motives. The Holy Spirit is looking for those who will partner with His power to glorify Jesus and heal the nations.

There has been a growing hunger and cry from the saints for the Lord to display His power. The Lord is answering our cry and He is finding a people who are willing to take risks, believe the impossible and dare to dream that God can do more. These have been interceding, crying out and asking the Lord to display the hand of His might in the nations of the earth once again.

The Lord is finding a people who have clothed themselves in the “garments of His righteousness” and put in their hearts “the flame of His fiery passion and love” (Song of Solomon 8:6). For what can be more attractive to the Lord than the one who seeks Him with their whole heart and chooses to discard every other love for the sake of His love? These are the ones that capture the eye of the King. These are the ones that cry out for His power with a pure heart. They do not seek power for selfish gain but rather seek His power for the benefit of others. These are the trustworthy ones.

When we are weak in our own abilities, is when God can grace us with His ability! We can be confidently weak with hearts full of faith as we trust the Holy Spirit to EMPOWER us with His might and strength in this next season. For it is, “Not by might, not by strength but by His
Spirit” that the will of God is accomplished (Zechariah 4:6).

Let us give room for the Holy Spirit to move amongst us and to move through us as conduits for His power. Let the miracle workers arise in this season for the glory of the Lamb.

2. The White Dove: The comfort of the Holy Spirit - I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass (Isaiah 51:12).

“So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the “comfort” of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.” Acts 9:31

I believe that the ‘white dove’ in this picture represents the kindness, goodness, and gentleness of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit in this next season will descend like a blanket of gentleness and comfort upon the body of Christ in 2020. This comfort, with the fear of the Lord, will help us to MULTIPLY (acts 9:31).

The Holy Spirit is completely kind, gentle, comforting and good! His goodness, His love, and His comforting presence is beyond description! In His presence, there is the fullness of joy. The Spirit longs to comfort His people because He is nurturing in nature and His nature is LOVE! Isaiah 51:12 states, He is the God who COMFORTS us, and we can boldly come to Him and wrap ourselves in His loving arms (Heb 4:16).

It is interesting that the Apostle Paul prayed that we would know the “FELLOWSHIP” of the Holy Spirit. For too long, we as the church have viewed the Holy Spirit as a power, an unknown force, a convenient ally who sometimes comes to give us goosebumps or validate our church, ministry, gifting or anointing. We often view the Holy Spirit as an outside entity who “sometimes” shows up to church. But the Spirit wants us to fellowship with Him daily because He loves us, and He is drawn to us. God is love and we love God because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). The Holy Spirit has loved us before time began and His love for us is astounding!

I believe that the Holy Spirit wants to take “center” stage in the life of every believer. He longs to make Jesus known to us and He longs to lead us to the Father in all things. He is coming to comfort us as the “comforter”.

When the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus it was the gentle, loving and kind nature of God. The Holy Spirit, manifesting as a pure and gentle dove came to rest and remain upon Jesus. Simultaneously the Father spoke from heaven saying, “this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased” (Mathew 3:17).

This manifestation of the trinity on earth, at the baptism of Jesus, was not so much of power but rather of “indescribable” love between God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Love Himself came as a dove from heaven, Love Himself spoke from heaven, and love Himself Jesus was filled with love by The Holy Spirit and filled with love by the voice of the Father. Likewise, The Holy Spirit wants to fill us afresh with His love, comfort, and presence. God is love, and if you are filled with God you will be filled with love. (1 John 4:16)

So, I believe that the manifestation of the dove does not so much represent the “power of the Spirit” but rather the “Love” of the Holy Spirit; His love, His comfort, and His gentleness. It was the love, comfort, and trust of the Spirit that sustained Jesus in the wilderness, and it was the Power of the Spirit that destroyed the works of the devil when Jesus left the wilderness (Luke 4;14).

2020 will be a year of the Holy Spirit’s gentleness to comfort His people all over the earth. Many are tired, worn and burnt out through battles, trials, and tribulations. But we can expect great comfort and rest that leads to deep peace and a sense of refuge in the Lord as the Holy Spirit comes to comfort us. It will be like a warm fuzzy blanket of love! For God is love and His love will be poured over us and into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. When we are comforted by Him, we will be strengthened, energized and renewed with fresh hope.

“and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us”. Romans 5:5

Many will be strengthened, renewed and filled afresh for a new season of life and ministry in the Lord. Many will have their strength renewed like youth and many will be refreshed to take up their stand in the ranks of the army of the Lord. He is the God who comforts us!

It will be important for us to posture ourselves in a place of surrender and acknowledgment of the Holy Spirit. Let us lead lives that welcome the “dove” all day and every day. Let us lead lives of love, faith, and purity that we may not grieve the Holy Spirit. Let us do our best to be His friend, companion, and partner in all things. What could be better than the Holy Spirit fully manifest in our lives? For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control. He is worthy of our affection and attention; He is worthy of our love and devotion. Let us wait upon the Lord and receive His comfort.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

The White Sail: The ‘leadership’ of the Holy Spirit - For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God (Rom 8:14).

In the vision of the “white sail” I saw that it was full of “wind” thus causing the vessel it was powering to move forwards and onwards. In this vessel, I saw a group of Christians traveling through what appeared to be dark and gloomy environments and situations.

I believe the “white sail” represents The Holy Spirit “LEADING” us and the wind that was in the sails was the ‘wind of the Spirit’. Many have perhaps felt lost, disoriented and confused. But the Holy Spirit is coming to help many navigate the way and to be led into prophetic destiny. It is not Gods desire nor heart that we are left wondering, confused or going in circles. For indeed the Lord knows the plans and purposes He has for us. Many have cried out to the Lord for help, for direction, and for purpose. The Spirit of Truth is going to help many move forward and move into the place they need to be.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. (John 16:13)

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119:105)

The Holy Spirit is coming as the wind in the sails He has built. Too many have tried to navigate their own course through human effort and strength. But the Holy Spirit is coming to navigate, lead and guide us by His strength as the Spirit of Truth. It is not by might, nor by power, but it is by the Holy Spirit that the will of God is accomplished in and through His people. There is much deception, darkness, and scheming of the enemy, but none of it can stop the leading of the Holy Spirit. He blows where He wills, He moves where He chooses, and He goes where the Father sends Him. I believe the boat in the picture also represents ministries and churches both large and small. A fresh leading of the Spirit of Truth will come in this next season as we posture our hearts to follow Him. I also found it interesting that the people were “in” the boat. We are called to walk “in” the Spirit and be “led’ by the Spirit. Let us abide in Him, rely on Him and follow His voice.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

4. Bonus Prophetic Word – Many will be launched out of obscurity in this season

I inquired of the Lord if He had anything else to share for 2020 and this is what I saw. I saw a picture of a Human cannon firing an individual far into the distance. It was one of those human cannons you see at circus displays. The human is shot out of the cannon and lands 50 feet away on a large net.

I felt that in the coming year many would be launched into a new season and phase of ministry. Where some have felt boxed in and restricted. God was now getting ready to launch them out of the confined space.

I felt like the ‘circus theme’ was a prophetic picture of the church. Ask any pastor and they will likely tell you that at times, leading a church feels like a madhouse and a circus. Many will be launched ‘outside’ the church to start new ministries, businesses, charities and other Kingdom agenda focused missions. This ‘launching out’ is a ‘sending out’ to go into all the world and be a bright brilliant light for Jesus.

This does not mean that these the Lord is releasing will break fellowship with the local church or stop serving in the local church. Rather these will be sent ‘out’ from the local church to be an influencer for the Kingdom in other areas and spheres of influence.

One reason the local church often feels like a ‘madhouse or ‘circus’ is because so many do not know their gifting and calling. Some wander around aimlessly bored and unused because, quite simply, not everyone is called to lead or minister in the local church. God has a plan and purpose for everyone. However, not everyone is called to preach, teach, pastor or lead in the local church.

Expect many to receive a fresh commission and sending out from the Holy Spirit in the coming year. It will be an exciting time for many who will be launched into prophetic destiny as Kingdom Influencers outside the 4 walls of the church.

Rachels Prophetic Words for 2020

I asked my wife to seek the Lord for a word for 2020 and this is what she was shown:

• Rachel saw beacons of ‘FIRE’ being lit all over the nations of the earth. In places where the fires of God had gone out, these places now became aflame with the fire of God. Expect 2020 to be a year where awakening, renewal, and revival takes place. Many places around the nations of the earth will again burn with the fire of God.

• The next scene Rachel saw in the Spirit was the earth being wrapped by God in robes of righteousness. The earth was being wrapped like cling film by the Lord in white sheets of ‘righteousness’. The Son of righteousness will rise with healing in His wings (Malachi 4:2).

Though darkness covers the earth and deep darkness the people. Gods glory will be seen upon His people and the nations will come to the brightness of His rising (Isaiah 60:3). Many will be attracted to the purity, holiness, and righteousness of our God. The wages of sin are death, countless are in the shadows of death and the valley of decision. But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. He is the light of the world and the darkness cannot overcome it. Many will be attracted to the Light of Christ, the beauty of His purity, and the Truth that sets free. Many people, places and situations will be made ‘righteous’ by our God.

Often, we ascribe much strength to the power and influence of the darkness in the earth. But we serve a God who is almighty, all-powerful and FULL of light. Jesus is the light of the world and the darkness cannot overcome it.

John 1:5
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Conclusion:

The Lord is going to wrap the world in righteousness. Many injustices will be undone, darkness will be exposed, and Light will shine on all the people. The fires of revival will be lit in the nations of the earth and let us remember that the ‘White Horse’ is coming with power, ‘The Dove’ is coming to comfort, and ‘The White Sails’ of destiny are aloft! 2020 will be the ‘year of the Holy Spirit’ and the year ‘He takes the center stage’.

May you seek Him with all your heart, may you fall deeper and deeper in love with Him every day, and may you fulfill all He has called you to accomplish in this season.

The God of all hope bless you,
Ashley Steinschauer

The Holy Spirit is working and awakening in the world a hunger for authenticity . This word needs to be shared. Excellent and so, so encouraging.
